.On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, Deacon Willie Dobison, President of the Lovely Hill Baptist Association's Brotherhood, and Sister Mary H. Fox, President of the Lovely Hill Baptist Association's Women's Auxiliary were awarded their Certificate of Completion from the Morris College Ministerial Extension Program. The extension program is held on Thursday evenings at the Lovely Hill Baptist Association Conference Center under the instruction of Reverend. Dr. Lucious Dixon. Honorary Doctorate Degree

In recognition of his lifelong service, largeness of heart, strong belief in humanity and in the cause of higher education, Reverend McKinley Ravenell was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters by Morris College's President, Dr. Leroy Staggers, during its 108th Annual Baccalaureate Commencement Convocation on Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Sumter, SC. Reverend Ravenell is the son of the late Reverend Francis and Daisy G. Ravenell. He is married to Sandra D. Ravenell, is the father of four sons and two daughters-in-law and the grandfather of seven grandchildren. Reverend Ravenell is a member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church, Eutawville, SC where the Reverend Aaron Brown is his pastor. He is the pastor of Elem Missionary Baptist Church, Harleyville, SC, Moderator of the Lovely Hill Baptist Association and Region 1 Vice-President of the Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of SC.
